Art Club’s objective is to developing students’ aesthetic talents. Besides exercising their creativity, the children experienced how problems were solved. Teachers share their favourite art making techniques and processes with members. One of the techniques taught was papier mâché.The members began working on puffed up balloons on which a few layers of paper were glued on. Once dried, the papier mâché sculptures were coloured and decorated. Another activity that the Art Club members were engaged in was basic photography. Members were introduced to picture composition using the rule of thirds and symmetry. During the sessions, members put what they have learnt into practice by taking pictures in the school compound.
